The
Civic Association has been instrumental in keeping the community
of San Carlos Park informed regarding the damage and rebuilding
of the entrance arches. Due to the fact that the last impact the
arches endured caused more than 50% damage to the structure, the
arches were knocked down and built to current code standards. Current
code required the arches be built taller than previsouly built,
which will also make it less likely for the previous incidents to
reoccur.
